Road

There are 2 roads that run through DARTON, these are A637 Barnsley to Huddersfield and from the church it is the B6131 that take you up to Wakefield road (at the Eastfield Arms)

Rail

There is a two rack rail line, this takes you to Barnsley/Sheffield in one direction and Wakefield/Leeds in the other.

Motorway

The nearest local motorway is the M1 which runs between London and Leeds, locally it gives access to Barnsley and Sheffield to the south and Wakefield/Leeds to the north though there is no direct access to the M1 in Darton, for that you have to go to Junction 37 at Dodworth or Junction 38 at Haigh.
